Elder Abuse Programs
Our intake process allows us to answer questions, provide referrals for local supports and services, and when appropriate, a referral to our adult counselling program or group programs.
We provide presentations to the community and organizations or businesses who want to be able to recognize the signs of elder abuse and how they can help.
This FREE 90 min live webinar session will talk about the importance of setting boundaries with your adult children. This can be a difficult process for many of us, but it is critically important for healthy communication and for ensuring our independence is maintained, particularly as we grow older and find that our care needs may increase.
Learn tips, tools and strategies to set healthy boundaries and reinforce them as needed with your adult children.

SAiF is partnering with our own St Albert Library for this FREE in-person presentation on sexual health, dating, and relationships. Online dating can be a wonderful opportunity for human connection and to meet people for dating and relationships. However, while seniors are fast turning to online dating, there are pitfalls, scams, and fraudsters on many of those platforms and it’s user beware! We’ll provide information for older adults dating while maintaining their safety and security.

Report Elder Abuse
We strongly suggest reporting when you suspect elder abuse has occurred. Reporting often leads to interventions that can save property, money, dignity, and, most importantly, a life.
